The Gold Standard: Colombia Huila (Smallholder Micro-Lot)

The Origin: Nestled in the shadows of the Nevado de Huila volcano, the department of Huila is the crown jewel of Colombian coffee. Our beans are sourced from elite family-owned farms in Garzon, Pitalito, and Neiva, where high altitudes (up to 1,900m) slow the maturation of the cherry, packing every bean with complex sugars.

The Micro-Mill Difference: Unlike mass-produced Colombian coffee, our Huila is processed at individual micro-wet mills right on the farm. This allows each family to hand-sort and meticulously dry-process their own harvest, ensuring a level of quality and flavor consistency that commercial mills can't match.

The Profile:

  • Primary Notes: Brown Spice, Cocoa, Almond, Syrupy

  • Body: Light-bodied with an elegant structure that keeps the cup lively and remarkably expressive.

  • Finish: A long, lingering finish with cocoa richness, toasted almond character, and warm brown spice.

  • Acidity: High, vibrant acidity gives the cup a distinctive pop of brightness and brings definition to its deeper flavors.

  • Mouthfeel: Light yet dynamic, with a lively burst of acidity that gives the cup an unexpected and satisfying kick.

  • Origins: Huila (Colombia)

The Versatility: Whether brewed as a pour-over to showcase its vibrant acidity, prepared in a Chemex for exceptional clarity, or enjoyed as a classic drip coffee, Colombia Huila reveals remarkable character across every method.
