Make Time for Breakfast
If you haven’t heard it by now, breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day.
As far back as the days of the ancient caveman (just ask anyone on the Paleo diet), breakfast is the one meal that jump starts your metabolism, getting you ready for anything from fending off Saber-Toothed tigers to staying alert for that 7 am conference call.
While it may seem counter-intuitive, many studies suggest that skipping breakfast to lose weight may actually lead to weight gain. This is because breakfast eaters typically consume less fat and more fiber in their diets, which leads to less overeating and fewer unhealthy snacks between meals.
Next time you find yourself in the breakfast aisle, be sure to stock up on cereals and snack bars that are high in fiber, protein and iron.
